Ethiopic
The Ethiopic script, also known as Geʻez (ግዕዝ, Gəʿəz), is an ancient writing system from the Horn of Africa that functions as an abugida (alphasyllabary). It has been in continuous use for over two millennia and is the primary script for several languages in modern-day Ethiopia and Eritrea, including Amharic, Tigrinya, and Tigre.
